Stopped off for lunch on our way to Whitby after reading the wonderful reviews and tempting menu, which has a nice variety, including some South African dishes, which makes a lovely change. We were warmly welcomed and we sat in the lovely garden. The food certainly lived up to the reviews. Hubby had a burger, chips and all the trimmings which he said was perfect. The South African dishes were explained to me and I chose the Bobotie, which was delicious. A wonderful find, which we thoroughly recommend. Thank you.

We came upon this pub on our way to view a wedding venue, the location is absolutely stunning with plenty of walks around. The pub itself is quaint and cosy, I imagine it would be perfect in the winter! The beer garden is such a little sun trap with bird feeders so we could sit and watch them. The owners were clearly very passionate about what they do and were so unbelievably lovely, we even came back later for food because it smelt divine! I couldn’t knock this place at all, it’s such a little gem and we will definitely be returning!
